If I do rpm -i it will work, but what do I need to do after that??? My country is not present in the driver configs so I tried setting the country to about 8 different places; To no avail YOu have a Lucent? Remember to be root. I think that it won’t. That file just has those 2 commented lines starting with error. Frankly I don’t really understand why Debian doesn’t include the headers in their kernel source.
It seems that I am close in getting that modem to work, just running into problems there. NM I found it.
Sun Apr 14, 8: I hope that someone can help conezant out Also, cnexant is the name of the kerne l-header file if I need that and is it also an RPM? I’ve been searching this problem and looks like I need to do something like compile a new kernel — really don’t know though what to do.
Mon Apr 15, 2: They should be available as an rpm on the CDs your distro came with. So I downloaded the HSF drivers and still nothing, it doesn’t dial!

My modem is a winmodem — came installed with the Dell. The thing is, you hf wan’t to build the kernel to a binary, you already have a binary.
